Logo & Recognition

Vancouver Foundation encourages all our grant recipients to build awareness of their projects through their community and local media. News releases, newsletters, speeches, brochures, leaflets and advertising are all simple but important ways your organization can build awareness and understanding of the impact of your work.

When promoting a project Vancouver Foundation has funded, we ask that you acknowledge the Foundation’s support. The purpose of this acknowledgment is to raise awareness of the role of philanthropy in supporting community initiatives. By acknowledging the Foundation, we hope to encourage more philanthropy and thereby generate more support and funds for projects like yours in the years to come.

Media Releases

Below are two boilerplate paragraphs on Vancouver Foundation and its work that should be included in any media release on the project we have supported. Simply cut and paste the text to your document.

Vancouver Foundation is Canada's largest and one of its oldest community foundations. Its mission is to create positive and lasting impacts in communities. It does this by bringing together generous donors (large and small, individuals, groups and corporations) and linking their contributions to important work that addresses the needs and improves the lives of communities across the province.

Today, the Foundation manages an endowment worth approximately $665 million. In 2008, the interest from that endowment allowed the Foundation to distribute $60 million to communities. To find out more visit: www.vancouverfoundation.ca
