Small Arts Grants Program

The Small Arts Program is intended for artists who demonstrate a history of original art practice, and show a vital engagement with the Downtown Eastisde community.

By partnering with Carnegie Centre, we are able to offer support directly to indviduals. The DTES seemed like a great location for the pilot program because of the number of low-income artists practicing in the area.

Our goal is to award 60 artists with grants that range from $500 t0 $1,000.

How to apply

Working Together - The Government/Non-Profit Initiative

Both the provincial government and the non-profit sector recognize that by working together more can be achieved for our citizens.

To enhance these relationships and find more effective ways to support individuals and communities across BC, the Government/Non-Profit Sector Initiative was created in 2007. With financial and staff support from the Province of BC, Vancouver Foundation and other funders, the initiative aims to better meet the needs and interests of British Columbians, in the short and long term.
