New Vice President of Grants and Community Initiatives
Vancouver Foundation welcomes Scott Borland as our new Vice President of Grants and Community Initiatives. For the past 15 years, Scott has been Managing Director of CYGNUS Management Consultants, and focused on assisting organizations in the areas of strategy, change management, leadership development and team effectiveness. His clients span the not-for-profit, public and corporate sectors and include organizations such as the Provincial Health Services Authority, University of British Columbia, BC Pension Corporation, Vancity Savings and Credit Union, Greater Vancouver Regional District, Ministry of Children and Family Development, Cameco, BC Hydro, and TD Canada Trust.
Scott is well-versed in the business of the Vancouver Foundation, having worked previously with us on our strategic and operational planning initiatives.
His strong strategic perspective and analytical skills are balanced with a keen ability to build effective relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and with varied interests. He spent seven years as a senior director with the Canadian Red Cross and has been involved as a volunteer with the United Way of the Lower Mainland, the Canadian Cancer Society and a number of sports organizations.
