Connections & Engagement Closer Look: Survey Results from metro Vancouver respondents of Chinese descent

We spoke to over 100 community leaders, including leaders of Chinese-Canadian organizations and non-profits, and asked them what community issue they thought was the most pressing.

People told us that they were very concerned about a growing sense of isolation and disconnection. They said they feel that people in metro Vancouver live increasingly in silos, separated by language, ethnicity, income, age and even geography. They worried about what they saw as a growing retreat from community life.
