ALS Society of British Columbia Endowment Fund

The ALS Society of BC was founded by ALS patients, their family members and health care professionals to meet the physical and emotional needs of people with ALS and their caregivers. For over 30 years, the Society has helped thousands of patients and their families, by providing direct services, information and support.
Donor's support of this fund allows the organization to dream. In addition to its core services they can now support mobile clinics, provide transportation assistance, support caregivers and support innovation in design to improve equipment used by people living with ALS.
In 2011, the organization introduced the first ever Camp for children affected by ALS. This was held in July at Camp Zajac in Mission, BC. Children from around the province and Yukon were brought together to create a circle of caring and support. Your support will help to ensure the continued success of this camp.
The ALS Society of BC also raises funds for both research and support services to those currently living with ALS. Their fund at Vancouver Foundation, the ALS Society of British Columbia Endowment Fund, further supports their efforts to maintain their research and education of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Until a cure is found, the Society will continue to provide patient services to help improve the quality of life of those diagnosed with this disease by loaning equipment and offering support groups and educational materials.
