Alzheimer Society of British Columbia
“Having that light and stability has given me a foundation to chart a course through the unpredictability of dementia,” says Liz Amaral, a caregiver connected to the Society. Thousands of families across B.C. are affected by Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias and this number is growing. The Alzheimer Society of B.C.’s ultimate vision is a world without dementia. Until this day comes, we are committed to building a dementia-friendly society – a place where people living with the disease, as well as their caregivers and families, are welcomed, acknowledged and included.
Established in 1986, the Alzheimer Society of B.C. Endowment Fund provides steady income for the present and provides funding to advance the Alzheimer Society of BC’s cause for the future. This permanent fund held at Vancouver Foundation is expertly managed and wisely invested to enable the Society to make their vision of a dementia-friendly society a reality. Your donation will help to support families today and ensure that future generations will continue to benefit from the work.
Thoughtfully planned gifts form a significant amount of the financial foundation for the Alzheimer Society’s work. To many people, legacy gifts make a statement about their values and how they want to be remembered. Learn more about planned giving and the Circle of Hope recognition program.
