Hard of Hearing/Late-Deafened Endowment Fund
The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association – BC Chapter (CHHA-BC) is a non-profit self-help organization working with hard of hearing people and their support networks. CHHA-BC works to decrease isolation and remove barriers by providing supportive environments, education, resources, referrals and advocacy.
CHHA-BC aims to encourage hard of hearing people to take individual and collective responsibility for their growth and development. Programs and services are provided throughout BC and include educational forums, seminars and outreach activities. The association provides services to all ages and sponsors a Young Adult Peer Support Program that provides youth with the skills to successfully transition to post-secondary education.
CHHA-BC’S “Managing Your Hearing Loss” program and other branch programs have been offered for over thirty years and have helped many people throughout the province to implement effective personal strategies to cope with hearing loss. The CHHA-BC Online Hearing Loss mentoring program is a new feature added to the range of support services provided.
The Hard of Hearing/Late Deafened Endowment Fund was established to ensure a solid base of economic support to continue carrying out the essential work of CHHA-BC. Your support helps CHHA-BC continue to help people with hearing loss to hear and be heard. Thank you for your donation.
