B.C. Hospice Palliative Care Association
Our Vision is that all people in British Columbia have access to quality end-of-life care. Our Mission is to build capacity in BC communities to support this vision. To this end, we work with our various level of governments, health care professionals, volunteer caregivers, and supporting community organizations, and our membership to promote an interdisciplinary hospice palliative care approach which aims to relieve suffering and improve the quality of living and dying for the end-of-life patient and his/her family. This involves addressing physical, psychosocial, social, spiritual, and practical issues and their associated expectations, needs, hopes, and fears, as well as helping deal with loss and grief during the illness and bereavement.
