Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies
The Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies (CFKR) works to enhance the quality of life for area residents by providing grants to the widest possible range of organizations and initiatives in the areas of: Animal Welfare, Arts, Culture and Heritage, Education, Environment, Mental Health and Addictions, Outdoor Recreation, Physical Activity, and Sports, Programs for Seniors, and Social and Health Services. The CFKR serves the municipalities of Cranbrook, Fernie, Sparwood, and Elkford; RDEK Electoral Areas A (Elk Valley rural), B (South Country rural), and C (Cranbrook rural); and First Nations communities Aq’am and Tobacco Plains. The CFKR is a federally incorporated not-for-profit and CRA-registered charity, which is governed by a 13-member volunteer board. The CFKR respectfully acknowledges that we are on the traditional and unceded territory of the Ktunaxa Nation.
