MOSAIC is a registered charity and a leading settlement and employment services agency in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley assisting newcomers to Canada at 27 locations.
Since 1976 MOSAIC has delivered services and engaged in community building and advocacy to facilitate meaningful participation of immigrants and refugees in Canadian society.
MOSAIC’s multilingual programs and services support clients with employment, settlement, English language, family, counselling, and interpretation and translation services.
Specialized programs also support vulnerable populations including women and children, seniors, LGBTQ and temporary foreign workers. MOSAIC is an acronym for Multi-lingual Orientation Services Association for Immigrant Communities.
You can play a crucial role in providing support for refugee children and their families at their Family Centre. Young mothers (like Fanus) and their children (ages 0-6) are connected to resources, receive one-on-one and group support, receive a nutritious meal, learn parenting skills, and are prepared for kindergarten.
Regarding her experience arriving in Vancouver, MOSAIC’s client, Fanus remarked:
"After a near decade in darkness, the sun had come out to welcome us."
