Nautical Professional Education Society of Canada

The Nautical Professional Education Society of Canada (NPESC) has a goal of furthering the professional education of Canadian mariners. NPESC works closely with the British Columbia Institute of Technology Marine Campus, Camosun College, Western Marine Institute and other Canadian educational institutions. NPSEC is a member of the Coalition of Maritime Organizations on Education, chaired through the offices of the Chamber of Shipping of British Columbia.

In 2001 NPESC established the Nautical Professional Education Society of Canada Fund to provide scholarships and bursaries for mariners enrolled in approved marine training courses.

In 2020 NPESC furthermore established the Nautical Professional Education Society of Canada Legacy Fund to provide the same type of scholarships and bursaries, with the intent to commemorate and honor former NPESC and Nautical Institute BC Branch members who have ‘crossed the bar’; our Certificates being issued in their name.

For any NPESC online donations at the Vancouver Foundation, please select the respective Fund of your choice below.

Your generous support will help Canadian mariners further their education so they can continue to have employment opportunities in the marine industry.
