Project Description
Alissa Assu belongs to the Wet’suwet’en First Nation located in Witset, British Columbia. Currently, she resides on her husband’s territory in Campbell River, Vancouver Island with our son Ember C’ikwah Assu. She is an Indigenous Patient Partner with St.Pauls Hospital Foundation, BC Transplant and BRRIDGE project with Dr. Jag Gill. Alissa also served as a representative at BC Children’s Hospital where she birthed by son at 27 weeks gestation.
