Deborah Curran

Deborah is an Associate Professor in the University of Victoria’s Faculty of Law and the School of Environmental Studies. She is the Acting Executive Director of the university’s Environmental Law Centre, and is currently engaged as a co-principal in a research project exploring Indigenous water laws in three BC watersheds. In addition to her position as a Vancouver Foundation advisory committee member, Deborah sat on the boards of the Victoria Foundation and Ecojustice, and helped found Smart Growth BC, the Small Change Fund, and the Whistler Centre for Sustainability.
