Jason McLean was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the McLean Group of Companies in 2010 following eight years in various senior roles. He is also CEO of Vancouver Film Studios and Chairman of Blackcomb Aviation. Prior to joining the McLean Group, Jason worked as Special Assistant in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada.
Jason is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (LLB, 1999) and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2000. He is a certified member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) and a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner President Management Program, (OPM, 2010). He is a past recipient of a Top 40 Under 40 Award from Business in Vancouver and, along with his brother Sacha, was recognized as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 Award Winner.
Jason gives his time to multiple non-profit boards and community organizations. He recently served on the UBC Board of Governors where he chaired the Governance Committee and is a past board member of the Vancouver Police Board where he chaired the Finance Committee. Jason is also a Governor of the Vancouver Board of Trade, where he served in 2010/11 as the youngest Chair in the Board's history.
