Katarina  Hartwig

Kat grew up in the Southern Rockies of BC, where she managed her 10,000-acre family ranch.  Since 1983, she has been involved in regional, national, and international environmental advocacy issues relating to sustainable tourism, endangered species, corporate social responsibility, and water based ecosystem health.  Kat continues to advocate for land and water policy and protection mechanisms necessary to support biodiversity, source water protection and climate resilient communities.  She is currently the Executive Director of Living Lakes Canada, and facilitates cross sector collaborations and partnerships for the organization’s water stewardship work
