Peter Swinton Memorial Fund
Peter Swinton was loved and respected by all who knew him. Colleagues, clients, friends, neighbours, and most of all his family were enriched by his big smile and warm heart. He had a genuine interest in the ideas, opinions and experiences of everyone in his life.
Peter had a vast array of hobbies and interests, including gardening, photography, skiing, cycling, fishing, the Grouse Grind, and especially traveling with his family. He had a passion for vintage cars (well actually, all cars!) and for collecting decoys and antique Quebec furniture.
His deep sense of integrity and belief in community meant that he helped many organizations. He was especially passionate about the Pacific Salmon Foundation, where he was a board member for many years, and the United Way of the Lower Mainland, where he was co-chair of the Accounting Division in the Campaign Cabinet.
Peter's deep sense of integrity and belief in community meant that he helped many organizations.
We have established the Peter Swinton Memorial Fund, creating a lasting legacy of Peter's commitment to making a difference in our community. The fund will be used to support an award for a student pursuing post-secondary education, who has exemplified scholastic achievement and is in financial need. This fund may also support other charitable causes Peter cared deeply about.
