Take our 2017 Connections & Engagement Survey!
How do you feel about your neighbourhood? How easy do you find it to make friends? Do you know your neighbours well enough to ask for help? How would you describe your sense of belonging?
In 2012, Vancouver Foundation released our first Connections & Engagement report. Our survey revealed that Metro Vancouver can be a hard place to make friends, and that our neighbourhood connections are cordial, but weak. But we also heard a hunger for social connections, and a desire among people from different ethnicities, cultures, income and age groups, to engage each other to build a stronger sense of community.
Now, five years on, our Connections and Engagement report is back for another look at the strength of our relationships with others and our commitment to community. This time we’re building on some unanswered questions from 2012, comparing Metro Vancouver to other parts of Canada, and exploring how people feel about the influence of urban living, greenspaces, and new technologies like social media.
Now we need your help
We’ve spent time consulting with thought leaders and experts across Metro Vancouver to design our 2017 Connections and Engagement report.
But our research only works by hearing from people like you. We encourage you to take the survey, and share it with as many people as you can – from all walks of life – to truly capture the diversity of communities across Metro Vancouver.
