B.C. community foundations are our invaluable partners. We’re grateful for your unrelenting work and we’re committed to supporting your growth and success. Here’s how we do that.

Bursary programs with Vantage Point

We’ve partnered with Vantage Point to offer financial support for B.C. community foundations via the Vantage Point Bursary Program.

You can receive full or partial bursaries for Vantage Point’s educational workshops and labs to further build capacity and upgrade your organization’s skills.

Some community foundations may also qualify for additional support from Vantage Point, depending on your size and location.

Endowment funds

Set up an endowment fund with us via two options:

  • A permanent endowment fund: held in perpetuity and requires at least $10,000 to establish, with a start-up option available at $1,000. With this type of fund, you can’t access the capital, but the income earned by the fund is paid to your foundation each year.
  • A non-permanent endowment fund: accessible when your foundation needs it and requires at least $50,000 to establish. This type of fund can provide a steady stream of income for your current or future organizational needs, with some holding periods to consider.

The benefits of establishing an endowment fund with us:

  • Complimentary donation processing support: Get help with larger, more complex gifts such as wire transfers, gifts of securities and U.S. donations.
  • Admin fee rebates: We offer a rebate that’s only offered to B.C. community foundations. Our administration fee is 0.7%, but for community foundation endowments, we give a 50% rebate. That means the administrative fee charged is only 0.35%.

B.C. Community Foundation Gathering

In 2024, we’re excited to be hosting our B.C. community foundation gathering from Oct. 1st to 3rd at the Delta Hotels Burnaby Conference Centre.

We’ve heard from community foundations in B.C. that there needs to be more opportunities to connect with each other — and this event is designed to do just that.

Come learn and share with other community foundations in an inclusive format.
