
Kendra Milne
Kendra Milne (she/they) is a lawyer who is passionate about the intersections of health equity, human rights, and human dignity. They are currently the Executive Director of Health Justice.
Kendra has worked in the non-profit sector in roles focused on systemic change and social justice for over 20 years. She brings an intersectional lens to her work and tends to embrace the complexity of social issues. Kendra’s past work has focused on housing, economic security, gender equity, and mental health and substance use law and policy. They also have an interest in innovative and community-centred non-profit governance models that reflect meaningful community leadership, shared power, and relationality.
Kendra’s formal education is in physics and law, and they have past experience in a variety of governance capacities including with the BC Poverty Reduction Coalition, the Law Society of BC’s Mental Health Task Force, and RainCity Housing and Support Society. These experiences shape their approach, but Kendra’s most important education has come from the patience and expertise of people who are directly impacted by her work.
