Nav Maharaj was born in Fiji Islands. He completed his high school in Sydney Australia followed by an undergraduate degree from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Economics.
Nav has worked extensively in the investment industry for over 28 years. He was Senior Vice President & Branch Manager at HSBC Securities for several years and is currently First Vice President at CIBC Private Wealth. His Private Wealth practice focuses exclusively on working with High Net Worth Families & Entrepreneurs and he is also a board member of his family’s investment company.
Nav has been a volunteer for Junior Achievement Canada, United Way, and Rotary International. He also has a passion for flying with a multi-engine rated private pilot’s license.
