Allan Brooks Nature Centre
Not only does the Allan Brooks Nature Centre have amazing views and stunning wildlife but there is also a large “city” of yellow-bellied marmots outside.
Named after the renowned bird painter Allan Brooks, the Centre displays exhibits on the four ecosystems of the North Okanagan. Vancouver Foundation has provided a variety of funding over the years, including funds to established the Centre in 1997. Located on a grassy knoll at the confluence of the Okanagan and Coldstream valleys in Vernon, the Centre is also one of the best places in North America to see raptors.
