Flexible, multi-year grants of up to $100,000 per year for three years to land-based First Nations and Indigenous-led organizations serving land-based First Nations in British Columbia.

Status:  All 2025 grants have been awarded. Applications will open again in 2027.

Key Dates:

Starting in 2026, this grant program will alternate years with LEVEL BIPOC Grants. The next grant cycle for TISF will be in 2027. 

The Transforming Systems Grant (TSG) will continue to run every year and will remain open to all eligible applicants, including those who may also qualify for TISF or BIPOC funding.

Overview
The Thriving Indigenous Systems Fund (TISF) provides multi-year grants of up to $100,000 per year for three years to land-based First Nations, including Hereditary Groups and Indigenous-led organizations serving land-based First Nations and/or Hereditary Groups in British Columbia.

Purpose of Funding

These grants were designed to support Indigenous-led initiatives focused on healing, land, rights & responsibilities, and culture. The TISF will support work that creates the conditions for systemic transformation by preserving, evolving, and transforming the social, political, economic and cultural systems of Indigenous communities in BC.
